Us. When we went to the Tulip Festival in La Conner, WA, we saw these great bells made from old welding tanks. The artist cuts them from 7", 9", and 10" diameter tanks, welds a hook on the top and makes a hanger. Then he welds a hand-crafted Japanese character on the front, buffs it up (stainless steel), and tapes it off. Then it goes off to the powder coater and gets painted. They had a red one that was a close match for the windows, so we went for the artistic door bell, 7" wide and about 18" long. It has a nice earthy gong, if you chose to ring it (please). Its only money, but heck it looks good at the front entrance. The symbol means water, which we thought was appropriate for Kala Point and the Puget Sound.
